Faction Info

You can choose your faction when you enlist or with the Governor, !Pirates Governor Pledge. Faction abilities can be used by once per pirate, n' up to five times a day per ship. Only one ability can be active at a time.

Dutch - Good fer pirates who want to mostly idle*.

• Purchase at a Dutch, Independent, or Pirate port's market.
• 30% discount in the store.
• 20% more gold when idlin'.
• Ability - !Pirates Decoderen - decipher treasure hunt hints & ship treasure maps (1 map at a time) for 1 hour. Takes effect immediately. Does not apply to gfx maps.

English - Good fer all around pirates who are sometimes active and sometimes inactive.

• Purchase at an English, Independent, or Pirate port's market.
• Store prices are discounted 5%.
• 20% more gold while chatting.
• 7% less gold during fights.
• Ability - !Pirates Expedite - +2 ship speed for 1 hour. Speed bonus takes effect at next voyage.

French - Good fer pirates who like to duel (duels start at level 3).

• Purchase at a French, Independent, or Pirate port's market.
• 10% more gold awarded during duels.
• +1 power when startin' a duel.
• 10% less gold during chatting n' idling*.
• Ability - !Pirates Fleurir - +20% gold for the crew for 1 hour. Takes effect immediately.

Italian - Best fer pirates who talk wit' their hands 🤏👌🤙

• Purchase at Independent or Pirate port's market.
• +4 max stamina
• +1 Charisma skill
• 2x more susceptible to alcohol
• Requires caffè (coffee)
• +5% surcharge at port markets
• Ability - !Pirates Magari - Restores n' adds +20 stamina to the crew - does not count toward 1h cooldown between other factions' ability usage
• Requirements: Must have played in more than one season.

Jesuit - Best fer idlin'* pirates.

• Purchase at Independent or Pirate port's market.
• 50% higher rewards when catching an item.
• 50% less gold when robbing.
• 25% more gold while idling*.
• +1 power when bein' dueled.
• 10% more protection against lockpicking.
• Ability - !Pirates Bless - Prevents the ship from being cursed for 1 hour. Takes effect immediately.

Native - Good fer active pirates.

• Purchase at Independent or Pirate port's market.
• 10% more gold while fishing and digging.
• +1 power in duels.
• 10% less gold during idling* and chatting.
• 10% higher store prices.
• Ability - !Pirates Inspirit - +4 stamina for the crew for 1 hour. Does not add stamina, but makes the base stamina higher. Takes effect immediately.

Spanish - Good fer active pirates.

• Purchase at a Spanish, Independent, or Pirate port's market.
• 15% higher rewards in duels, catching items, n' daily bonuses.
• 25% less gold while robbing n' digging.
• Ability - !Pirates Aumentar - +2 power for the crew for 1 hour. Takes effect immediately.

Custom / Pirate - Best for active n' talkative pirates.

• Purchase at a Pirate Haven's Market
• 10% more gold while chatting n' robbing.
• +1 power when startin' a duel.
• 25% less gold while fishing, casting, n' idling*.
• +1 power in a Cap'n vs. Cap'n duel.
• 5% better lockpickin' odds.
• Ability - !Pirates Cloak - sneak into all hostiles ports for 1 hour. Will not take effect during a raid or raid query.

* The game recognizes idling as a player who does not use !Pirates commands. Players can chat n' still be counted as 'idle'.

Faction Relationships

Below be a list of base faction relationships. If ye attack a faction's ships n' raid their ports, ye reputation with that faction will decrease. To increase ye standings with a faction is to give them a gift with !Pirates Governor Donate, choose not to attack their ships, or raid a port n' install the faction's Governor.
